SBA Financing Allows Doctors to Purchase Eyecare Practice
A Q&A with Eric Jerde, OD, Owner of Jerde Eye Specialists
WHAT ARE THE BIGGEST CHALLENGES YOU FACE AS A BUSINESS?
Obtaining funds to purchase our business became a challenge when we faced some unexpected expenses that both we and the sellers were unaware of. The current owners of the property were willing to help us solve the issues, but we did not know where to begin. We needed guidance and support to get the liability covered so we could purchase the property.
HOW DID ENTERPRISE HELP SOLVE THESE CHALLENGES?
Working hand in hand, our business banker and SBA lender used creative problem solving to fix the issues and allow us to close on our purchase by obtaining a SBA loan. They provided us with all the information we needed to ensure we knew what our costs would be and would not be faced with surprises. From our very first meeting, I have felt encouraged and that they truly care about my business.
WHAT IS THE IMPACT TO YOUR BUSINESS?
The team at Enterprise was able to help us solve the challenges and were upfront with us every step of the way. We were able to open our business and will be able to comfortably operate our first year and beyond. Knowing that I can obtain capital to invest in state-of-the-art technology and grow my business is invaluable to me. When new challenges arise in the future, it is reassuring to know that the team at Enterprise will be there to help.
